Project description:

Mission for African Mothers (MAM) IS a civil society – not for profit organisation dedicated to empowering and highlighting the plight of Single and expectant mothers in Uganda through; offering reproductive health services, psycho-social, and legal support. We are currently recruiting an intern for 3 months to support the new Online Child Protection Campaign (OLCPC)

Duties and responsibilities

m  Support the program team in preparing monthly reports.

m  Conduct a desk review of information related to funding opportunities for MAM activities.

m  Prepare activity budgets from field activities.

m  Support in the planning of MAM activities.

m  Conduct field visits to partnership schools in Kampala.

m  Documentation preparation for MAM activities.

m  Coordinate MAM activities including meetings, events, and arrange for logistics before program activities.

m  Other duties as assigned.

Minimum requirement

Education and training:

m  Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in any field.

m  Professional experience in the development work is an added advantage.

Skills, competences and attributes:

m  Able to prioritize clearly and follow-through effectively.

m  Proactive, self-directed leader with a positive attitude.

m  Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.

m  Able to work in a challenging environment with limited resources.

m  Ability to manage multiple priorities while working as part of team.

m  A good time manager.

m  Able to use MS office programmes i.e. MS Word, Excel etc.

Others requirement:

m  Living in Kampala and ready to community to Bukoto with ease.

m  Aged between 20 – 28. (Applicants below the age of 20 are also encouraged to apply).

m  Females are encouraged to apply.
